During the first annual meeting in Stuttgart, there was a tour on October 9th of the WINSENT test field for project partners as well as members of the IAG and SWE. Andreas Rettenmeier explained how the location was chosen and what logistical and political problems arose during construction. The other research projects being conducted on the WINSENT test field were also explained. These include seismic measurements, bird watching, and whether insects are attracted, which in turn can attract more bats. In addition, the meteorological measuring instruments were presented. In addition to the four measuring masts, there are also devices in the area that can measure into the valley.
