Description and categories of data

Your entries in the Report class form on the website Research-Based Foreign Language Didactics website will be used to generate an email to the Institute of Linguistics/Romance Studies (IfLR). In addition to the data visibly collected for you, the data and time of the entries sent are recorded. 

Purpose of data processing and consequences of not providing personal data

Teachers reporting a class to schools serves to indicate that the teacher is interested in participating in an empirical study in the field of foreign language didactics with their class as a participant. Mandatory information is required for the report. The report cannot be processed without mandatory information. The information will be passed on individually to students/staff of the university to carry out these studies upon request. 

Reporting a class is voluntary. Refraining from providing data does not result in any disadvantages. In this case, the report cannot be processed. 

Legal basis

The legal basis is your consent, Article 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

Recipient

The recipients of the data you have provided are the project staff at the Institute of Lingiustics/Romance Studies and the requesting persons (students/staff of the University of Stuttgart) who are looking for a class for an empirical study and who receive the information individually by email on request. 

Duration of storage 

The data processed for reporting a class will be deleted at the end of each academic year on 31 August.

Your data will also be deleted immediately as soon and insofar as you revoke your consent given in the contact form. 

Your rights

  • You have the right to receive information from the university about your personal data and/or to have incorrectly saved data corrected.
  • You also have the right to delete or restrict processing.
  • You have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to the university in a structured, common and machine-readable format and to have this data transmitted directly to another data controller insofar as this is technically feasible and does not affect the rights and freedoms of other persons.
  • You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, whereby the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent prior to the withdrawal is not affected.
