New to the University...
The first few months at university an exciting phase for all students. Not only do they have to find their way around the local campus, but they also have to familiarize themselves with university-specific procedures. In addition, they are expected to work in a new and much more independent way compared to what it was like at school.
For first-generation students, this transition from school to university can be quite overwhelming, as they oftentimes are offered only little support from their families and thus have to find their way around the unfamiliar 'university cosmos' on their own.
